Welcome to My Portfolio
This is a professional portfolio of my work at Salt Lake Community College. I was hired as an instructor in 1994 and have been fortunate to have been involved in a diverse range of teaching and administrative activities. Along the way, I have collaborated with excellent colleagues among SLCC's faculty, staff, and administrators. With this portfolio, I'm trying to capture and present examples of this work.

Student Comments"David,
I just wanted to say thank you for being a great instructor! You taught me more things about the ePortfolio that really helped me understand its purpose and made me want to put more effort into getting it done. I also enjoyed the textbook a lot and I learned more about politics from that book alone than I have in all my years of living. It made things make sense in an interesting way. I really appreciate the effort you have put into this course." --Anonymous Student
"All the Poli Sci classes have got this online course thing down perfectly. They really are the most organized online classes out of all the online classes I have taken. I wish other departments would have a look at these course structures so they can see what they're doing wrong."

"Dear Dr. Hubert,
I just finished reading out of your online book, Chapter 2 E-G for my U.S. Nation Government and Politics class taught by [adjunct faculty]. I just wanted to send you a quick appreciation for your succeeding efforts to help students save a little bit of coin here and there. More importantly I would like to acknowledge to you my true appreciation for all the time and hard work you have put into your education throughout you life that has enabled you to write a book pertaining to very intricate and complicated topics into one that is actually fun and interesting to read. This is my first class in thirteen and a half years (including one and a half years of college), that I have actually been able to sit down and enjoy learning. So thank you so much, it's people like you who are truly making a difference in peoples lives and in my case the beginning to good study habits. Sincerely, Anonymous Student |
